The Community Service Committee evaluates the requests of non-profits who solicit funds from the group. Donations range from $50-$250. The group prepares its recommendations and presents that data to the full group for a decision on funding. Any non-profit interested in receiving funds should submit a one-page proposal to the group. In addition to making decisions on funding, the group also identifies organizations where we can donate time, and works with the Social Planning Committee as appropriate to coordinate activites for the group.

Funding and volunteer requests for area non-profits should be brought by a member of SWAN to the Community Service chair for consideration. The committee will make a recommendation to the full board within one month of submitting the request. Requests that need a quicker approval process may be submitted to SWAN members for an email or phone vote.
