The Social Planning Committee helps plan special events for SWAN members including a holiday party, when appropriate, a summer picnic, etc. This group also coordinates with the Community Service group to organize events that are fun and serve a purpose. For example, last December, we had a pizza party while stuffing backpacks for the Food Bank.

December 2008: Holiday social.
July 2007: Puppy Parade, 9 a.m., Sweet Dreams Festival, Stuarts Draft.
May 2007: Dakota Falls fund-raiser raised more than $500 for the family at a spaghetti dinner/bake sale.
March 2007: Organized a community bake sale at first annual Children’s Parade at Willow Oak Plaza in Waynesboro. Proceeds were split 50/50 with the SWAN non-profit fund and the Wayne Theatre Alliance. $68.68 went to each group. SWAN members provided volunteers and provided all the baked goods for the event.
February 2007: Organized Valentine’s Day package with flowers, chocolate and massage gift certificate for one price. Proceeds went to non-profit fund for SWAN.
December 2007: Pizza party and backpack stuffing event at Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
